The Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme was a unique programme that would be needed to handle the global and in-house demands. Realising the fact that the prevalent education system was only churning out a miniscule percentage of graduates in Computer Science and that too only from the Engineering Sciences stream which would in no way match the huge futuristic demands. The 3-year MCA programme was well conceived to target and train graduates from the Sciences, Arts and Humanities stream in the discipline of Computer Science and Applications as prospective IT workers.
With the sanctioned strength of 60 students in a batch, the programme incorporates the following features:
i) A judicious mix of Theory and Laboratory courses to strengthen the knowledge component of the programme
ii) Two mini-projects to be undertaken at the end of the second and fourth semesters
iii) All round personality development through organization of technical events, educational tours, sports and cultural activities.
