Sports Committee

The Sports Committee is here to represent the views of the student body on all sporting matters. They are to support the sports officer, helping to gather feedback from students, promoting sporting opportunities and contribute to the development of student sport. They are a vital link between students and the Sports Officer, providing another way for the student's voice to be heard. The Sports Committee organise sporting events throughout the academic year and the Sport Awards as well as look at developing new initiatives and ways of improving the sporting experience at PRINCE .

At the very outset Sports Committees for men and women were formed to guide and co-ordinate the sports activities and to organize games and sports in the affiliated colleges Each year, the Department of Physical Education organizes Inter-College (Men and Women) tournaments.

Anti-Ragging Committee

As per the order of Supreme Court of India and subsequent Notification from University Grants Commission (UGC), ragging constitutes one or more of any intention by any student or group of students on:

Objectives of Anti Ragging Committee

Anti-Ragging Committee will be the Supervisory and Advisory Committee in preserving a Culture of Ragging Free Environment in the college Campus. The Anti-Ragging Squad- office bearers will work under the Supervision of Anti Ragging Committee and to engage in the works of checking places like Hostels, Buses, Canteens, Classrooms and other places of student congregation. Anti-Ragging Committee will be involved in designing strategies and action plan for curbing the Menace of Ragging in the college by adopting array of activities.

Responsibilities of Anti Ragging Squad

Anti-Ragging Squad will be working under the Monitoring of Anti Ragging Committee and will seek advice from the Anti-Ragging Committee. The functions of Anti-Ragging Squad will be to keep a vigil and stop the incidences of Ragging, if any, happening / reported in the places of Student aggregation including, Classrooms, Canteens, Buses, Grounds, Hostels etc. The Squad will also educate the students at large by adopting various means about the menace of Ragging and related Punishments there to. A gamut of positive reinforcement activities are adopted by Anti-Ragging Squad for orienting students and molding their personality for a better cause. They shall work in Consonance and Guidance of Anti Ragging Committee.

Women Empowerment Committee

WEC is a cell made more responsive and gender sensitive to women�s needs, especially in cases of domestic violence and personal assault. WEC empowers women to face the present challenges by providing tools and techniques that help to eliminate individual stress. A sense of community spirit is created that allows women to face these challenges as a team rather than individually. The goal of Women Empowerment is to bring about the advancement, development and empowerment of women. The Women Empowerment Cell encourages women to find practical solutions to their challenges so that each one becomes self-dependent in their own right. The responsibility of the Women Empowerment Cell is to follow the Mandatory Guide lines and directions of the Anna University, Chennai, regarding the security arrangements for Girl Students and Women staff of our Institution

Keeping in view the industry requirements, the training curriculum is designed for preparing the students for entry-level Graduate Engineer Trainees.

Hostel Committee

The Hostel Committee will consist of the Principal, the Deputy Warden and two Senior Members of the Staff nominated by the Principal. They will hold atleast one meeting every month to pass the accounts, to formulate policies as regards maintenance of the discipline etc., The committee will be assisted by the resident superintendents, who shall be the member of the college staff.

The Hostel shall be under the direct control of the Principal of the college who is the ex-officio warden of the hostel. Subject to the approvel of the warden, the Dy. warden shall make by-laws for the effective internal management of the hostel.

Student Counseling Committee

In order to resolve day to day academic problems of the students, mentors are appointed for a batch of 20 students, and they will counsel the respective students once in a week, to solve the problems come across during their course of study.

This is a continuous process till the end of academic career of the student. During the last semester of study students are advised for higher studies along with proper career guidance. Reasonable numbers of students have secured admissions for their higher studies and they in turn guide their juniors for their prospective admissions.
